My Current Nail Care Routine

5:55 PMUnknown

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for visiting my blog! I recently made a YouTube video, which shows my current nail care routine! Please watch this video and like it, if you would like to! I would appreciate the support!

In this nail care routine, I show how I care for my cuticles, remove discoloration and protect and strengthen my nails! I also show what lotion I use that helps to keep my hands and nails healthy. Not only do I want to remove all of the discoloration and yellowing from nail polishes, etc., but I want my nails to be thicker, stronger and longer! Whenever I've had fake nails, acrylics or gel manicures my nails are a lot weaker and damaged after. I want to try to get my nails to be strong and long on their own! I'm hoping that this nail care routine will get me the kind of au naturale nails that people ask if they're fake!

Here is the video & below I'm posting the steps & products for this nail care routine:

IN THIS VIDEO:
1. CVS Vitamin E Oil (30, 000 IU per bottle)
2. A metal cuticle pusher with two flat ends. {*I don't recommend this cuticle pusher. I will show better products in my next blog post!}
3. 4 tablespoons of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda
4. 2 tablespoons of Hydrogen Peroxide (I DO NOT suggest using isopropyl rubbing alcohol-I only used it in this video to signify that there's another step at that point)
5. 1 cup of hot water--not boiling (I don't want you to scald or burn yourself). I used hot water, which was hotter than warm, but tolerable for me to soak my fingers and nails in. It just needs to be hot enough to dissolve the baking soda.
6. 4-sided Beauty Buffing Block. I used the buffing side of the block. I got mine for like $1 or $2 at Walgreens.
7. I washed my hands with soap, water & dried them.
8. 1 coat of Sally Hansen Miracle Cure For Severe Nail Problems to stop peeling and restore strength. CVS.
9. 2 coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails UV Top Coat. This top coat came in a 3-polish, french manicure set. I don't think it's sold individually? They do have a Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Top Coat, which I think I'm going to buy!
10. CVS Healthy Hands Hand & Nail Care Lotion, which has Alpha Hydroxy, Keratin & Vitamin E. It's fairly inexpensive at CVS for about $2.99! {The lotion says this lotion immediately hydrates the skin for instant relief. In 2 weeks, Healthy Hands strengthens nails and softens cuticles. Within 4 weeks, Healthy Hands diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Do more to keep your hands and nails looking and feeling healthy every day.}
